    2 stars – slow-paced In the suspended space of a coma, a poet faces two instances of his subconscious mind. One is trying to help him find inspiration to write and getting to work, the other is suffering from his selfishness. More and more details about the protagonist emerge in this abstract setting.

    4 stars – Dark, intense frenzy In Mr Jones’s farm, the pigs have taken over. Unlike humans, pigs say they deserve food because it keeps them alive to organise the other animals and protect them against the bipeds. ‘Four legs good, two legs bad.’

    5 stars – the cleverest parody on stereotypes and racism Who wants to become a LatinX? Between castings, the character Manuel lectures the audience through an exhilarating workshop that plays with stereotypes and prejudices on people from Latin America.

    4 stars – peace & fun Between Israelis and Palestinians there seems to stand a tall being, the ‘Giraffe of Peace’. Noam Shuster Eliassi was raised in the Oasis of Peace, a mixed space for voluntary coexistence for the two nations, and does political stand-up comedy in the name of peace.

    4 stars – aesthetic political performance A dark stage, projected childhood photos from which the performer’s profile detaches, and the most beautiful soundscape of my 2023 Fringe. Her story of migration echoes in her Tigrinya words, in her songs, in her poetic construction.

    4 stars – ensnaring (for spectators and magpies) A solo show about money, but on stage are four characters… Or four ‘instances’ of the same persona. And many questions, among which: what does inequality mean in our society?

    3 stars – funny carousel Sandy Surname is unemployed (and overqualified), and three job coaches assign him the craziest job opportunities on the market. Sandy finds himself casting the next city Cryer, sailing with a crazy captain, trying to spot a very secret secret agent, and so on.

    4 stars – hilarious journey In order to conquer his beloved, Leif suggests a romantic trip to Disneyland. Unfortunately, things don’t quite develop the way Leif had programmed.

    4 stars – a celebration of friendship Two clowns decide to put up a show, but their ideas soon diverge. How will they overcome differences? In this green and purple atmosphere, rhythm is tight and ideal for a laugh both for children and adults. The clowns’ interactions are perfectly timed and their mimics are simply…
