⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ funniest stand-up this Fringe
Sid Singh brings us a show about politics and how he had a date with his stalker (and put her to the test… with politics, of course).
Love Bombing is an incredibly well-written show. Political comedian Sid Singh knows very well where he wants to lead the audience and how to do it. Along the way: original jokes, perfect timing and great receptivity to audience reactions. 100% funniest stand-up show this Fringe for me.
Sid Singh is a full-time comedian who volunteers as a human right lawyer (yes, you read it right!). 50% of the income from his shows is donated to the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, an association that helps asylum seekers in the US have their rights recognised (you can also donate here). So yes, there is the semi-serious part where he talks about this project, but somehow, he manages to joke about this without diminishing its importance. And then there is the serious part about the state of our world politics… which ends up simply giving more value to the rest of the show.
I saw Sid Singh’s show Illegally Funny in 2022 (for which he won the Comedian’s Choice Award for Best Performer), then I saw him again in 2024 and in 2026. What I can say for sure is that his shows don’t fall short of expectations, with different proportions of political and biographic materials. One story that will probably always be there is how he won in court against Trump. And, let’s be honest, it’s a story you will want to hear.
