Seen at Edinburgh Festival Fringe on the 08^th of August 2026

⭐⭐⭐ A bit of blood and a bit of laughter

Riley and Emily are sisters, but their living together is threatened by Riley’s hobby: she is a serial killer. Her sister wants to move on (and out of the flat) but Riley won’t let it happen so easily…

The show has essential props and quick rhythm, but it feels quite rough. For being (at least apparently) very low budget, they manage to tell a story and make a benevolent audience laugh. The ambition is appreciated, but details should be cared for more.

Pigeon Patter productions is a company run by students. Their goal ‘to tell stories that no one else dares to’ sounds a bit pretentious but points out the interesting core idea. The relationship between siblings is the writer’s (Rachael Kellett) focus, but the absurdity of the plot prevails over the theme and makes the conflict feel less credible. Maybe, if we hadn’t seen a talking body from scene one, we would believe in them a bit more.
