4 stars – Laughing into the apocalypse

Aidan Sadler is an incredible performer, engaging and fun. In this new show, they seem to be looking for pure, queer, ‘unapologetic’ entertainment.

The structure of the show is based on the interaction with the audience. Curiously, the main themes are Gender and the End of the World. It’s a weird combination, as the performer doesn’t stop underlying. In this rollercoaster, the audience is teleported to the most improbable situations, that always turn out to be hilarious.

The anecdotic stand-up part of the show is very entertaining, and some of the songs are made to laugh, too. Creativity visibly sparks in many directions, even though the show seems to lack some cohesion. In their colour-changing outfit and perfect lipstick, Aidan Sadler is a continuous surprise.
